What to Expect

Affirming and Inclusive Practice

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person’s unique way of experiencing and relating to the world. I am committed to providing a non-pathologising, affirming, and inclusive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and relationships- whether with partners, family members, or yourself.

I work with a strong diversity-affirming ethos, recognising and valuing different neurotypes rather than viewing them as deficits. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, supporting you to identify patterns that may be limiting your wellbeing and to develop strategies that honour your needs and preferences.

Self- regulation & trauma processing

My practice incorporates evidence-based therapeutic tools to help clients identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behaviour. Through body-mind work, mindfulness, meditation, IFS, and trauma processing I empower individuals to develop healthier coping strategies and achieve positive outcomes in managing their mental health.

Psychotherapy

Out of Chaos focuses on exploring emotions, thoughts, and body responses to promote self-awareness and facilitate positive change. My psychotherapeutic interventions are always tailored to you and aim to help you achieve long-lasting emotional well-being.

Practical Info

Before beginning counselling, I offer an initial introductory call—this can be over the phone, on Zoom, or in person if that’s your preference. It’s a chance for us to briefly connect, discuss what brings you to counselling, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

I work from the Relationships Scotland building at 6 View Place in Inverness, a quiet and comfortable setting close to the city centre and also offer sessions online.

My approach to counselling is person-centred and integrative. I draw on a range of body-mind techniques such as mindfulness, breathwork, gentle movement, and meditation, alongside elements of CBT and creative tools. Sessions are always tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and communication style—we’ll work in a way that feels natural and supportive for you.

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £60 per session. I also have a limited number of reduced-rate spaces for those who can't afford the full rate. We can discuss and agree on a fee that feels manageable for you.

I see clients in person on Fridays, with some limited availability on Tuesday and Thursday in the evenings.
